Why do I need this spreadsheet scheduler
|
These spreadsheets are great if you need to assign each employee in
various groups to one, two or three irregular shifts a day to
cover your hourly staffing requirements and then to assign each person
up to 10 tasks during their scheduled work hours. It's a very convenient
way to schedule nurses to shifts and then assign them to patients

It's so easy to use
|
You just need to list your employees, what group they
are in and their vacation requests along with your
hourly staffing needs for each group of employees and
your task names. Then
all you do is go to the scheduling sheet and assign
hours to each employee in 1, 2, or 3 three blocks of
hours (shifts) each day for up to 4 weeks. As you assign
people to hours you will be shown the number of people
you need each hour and the number you have assigned so
you will know when to stop making assignments. And after
you have assigned hours to your people you can use
drop-down menus of task names to assign tasks to each
employee.

The number of hours assigned to each employee each
week is displayed and anyone working more hours of fewer
hours than the target hours you have specified for them
is highlighted to help you properly distribute the hours among
your employees. A master schedule is
created showing all hour and task assignments that can
be filtered so you can easily
find whatever employee, shift or task you are looking
for. And, a calendar
file showing everyone's hours and tasks is created
that you can import into your Microsoft Outlook Calendar
and to your PDA or Smart Phone so you will have
everybody's schedule readily available.
